RealDVD; AdReady; Seattle Genetics earns; and more

RealNetworks and the Hollywood studios head to trial Friday over RealDVD, the software product that allows consumers to make back up copies of DVDs to their computers. Last fall, the studios won an injunction that prevented RealDVD from being sold.

Shares of Seattle Genetics gained nearly seven percent in after hours trading after the biotechnology company posted a 28 percent gain in revenue to $9.1 million. Reuters reports that the company's $27.3 million quarterly loss came in above expectations.

AdReady is embedding its self-service online display advertising solution on the sites of Univision Interactive Media, one of largest Spanish language media companies in the U.S. Seattle's AdReady also provides the customized display ad technology to The New York Times.

Skytap, a Seattle cloud computing startup, has been named to Information Week's Startup 50.
