LookStat was initially called Orange Line Media and received early seed funding from the Founders Co-op. The startup has a lot of connections to Judy's Book, the online city guide that laid off most of its staff in late 2007 (and is currently being retooled by a new investor group). LookStat's CEO, Rahul Pathak, was previously vice president of product development at Judy's Book. And the Founders Co-op was started by Andy Sack and Chris DeVore, the original team behind Judy's Book.
LookStat describes itself as the "first company in the microstock photography industry to provide a web platform that enables automated image-level earnings tracking across multiple microstock sites."
Pathak said LookStat launched in public beta in October. He declined to name other investors in LookStat, or specify how many employees or customers the company has. Pathak said he serves on the board, along with Andy Sack and Adam Brotman.
